The last week or so has been quite interesting. At the start we went and saw some monkeys. It was about a 10minute drive to this gravel road hidden away behind two Motels on the side of a HWY. After driving past a paddock full of nothing but cows and grass we came up to the entrance of the dense jungle.

 

Almost immediately after passign the warning sign we spotted the first monkey. We stopped only 100 or so meters into the jungle and I jumped out of the car to get a look. Soon there were about 5 monkeys walking up to me, obviously curious and hungry.  I quickly jumped back into the car as more monkeys arrived.

 

The car was covered with monkeys and we wound the windows down slightly and hand fed them some bread. It was awesome! Ive got some good videos which I will upload soon enough.

 

 

The rest of the week has been crazy. We went to Tradicional, a pub that is just like the mustang bar in perth except roughly twice the size. I drank way too much and so dont really remember the details. It was a fun night though.

 

On friday night we went to a house party which was even more fun. It was an open bar as usual, and like all the other rich people parties I've been to it had a few barmen and waiters. Not to mention a few people on the door. Brazil has a clever way of getting more girls than guys to be at a party, they charge less for girls. This party exploited this to the extreme. It was $100 for guys and for girls,.... free. Thankfully I was smuggled in and didnt pay a cent :) It turned out to be one of the best house parties I've been to, with about 200 people I was one of maybe 20 guys, awesome!

 

Last night we went to a wedding. It as just like any other wedding so not much to write home about. And Ive also run out of time. Its 11pm sunday and I have a bus to catch. I have reached the final leg of my travels in Brazil. Im heading off to Sao Paulo for two days, then to the Amazon for five days before flying to Rio De Janeiro for a 7 day visit at Copacabana! Then after all that I will return here to Rio Preto for a final 10 days before heading on to Miami.

 

It almost feels like I am going on a holiday even though I am already on a holiday, strange...
