The last week has been relatively laid back compared to the previous two. My money has been low and I've been very reluctant to draw out any more cash. I haven稚 been running or doing any form of exercise and my energy levels have been a bit down as a result. Either that or I知 just knackered from staying up late and drinking EVERY night.
The weekend just gone I had planned to be pretty big but it didn稚 really turn out that way. The 3 Aussies, April Grace and Sonia, said they were going out on friday night and I said I would join them. They stood me up! I知 not sure what happened but I caught up with them around 2am and they said they had decided on a quiet one instead. I should of gone out with the hostel to Dream...
Saturday night the 3 Aussies made up for their poor effort the night before by taking me out on the town. We hit a few clubs dancing like crazies and having a great time. The night had started as usual at the hostel with lots of strong drinks. I finished off my half gallon of Vodka, filled up on pizza and put on my party hat. Around 4 or 5 am we ended back at the hostel and headed down to the beach to bum around. We watched the sun rise behind the clouds, there was a slight breeze and I could tell it was going to be a nice day for the beach, but first time for sleep!
Filling up on the hostel breakfast I passed out till 1, just in time for lunch, then passed out again at the beach for the rest of the day. Sunday was a pure recovery day. I felt pretty horrible even after all that rest so just chilled out in the Hostel. I had planned to go to Nikki beach but after my one and only tequila and lemonade I decide to stay in.
Today went by way too fast. I woke around 10 and packed my bags then headed to the beach and caught up with Saara and Lis. The three of us went to Espanola way for lunch at the Mexican cafe Lis and I went to a day or two before, I ordered the same super tasty chicken salad.
After lunch I went to the beach one last time. I soaked up some sunshine, took in the view and sighed at the thought of leaving. I知 going to miss this place! I love the beach and for the last three or so weeks I've been living on one of the most famous beaches in the world!
The things I値l miss about Miami Beach.... Walking up Washington Ave to Lee Anne's to grab my daily supply of Juices, chocolate, muesli bars and of course a banana. Walking down 9th and hitting the beach almost every day; Ocean drive on the hottest days with the plethora of hot bodies walking by, playing volleyball, people working out on those metal bars; the queue for the outdoor shower so you can wash the sand off your feet; the palm trees swaying about; the view of mangos and the rest of the strip as you head back from the beach; $5 vodka at Mansion; paying $15 for a 1.75ltr bottle of vodka!; The Mexican cafe on Espanola Way; free food at the hostel and Mummas cooking!....
The other things ill miss are the hostel and all of the friends I致e made there, way too many to list but the main characters in order of appearance are, Karan, Steph and the fat guy we drew on as he snored his head off, Mike, Luc & Ron, Katy, Alinde and co, the Italians, Kavitha, Mona, Jess, Cecile & Muriel, Leire & Roshni!!, Dave & Dennis, James, Beth, All the pommy girls, the three Aussie chicks, and of course all the hostel staff, Jeff, Mumma, Art, Barbara and the rest!
Next stop England! where I知 going to freeze!! I知 not looking forward to the weather but I知 curious to find out where my life is heading in the next few weeks or months. With any luck ill survive a few months and continue travelling, without any luck I値l be back in Perth in about 4 weeks. Whatever happens I want to come back to Miami next year and do it all over again but bigger and better!
